Interior designer Laura Britt asked us to update her exterior signage to reflect the modern, high end work of her practice — and to make the most of her high profile location on a busy Central Austin street.
The client's previous sign seemed temporary and worn — and was easy to miss in traffic on 29th Street. Our solution is solid, modern and visible from afar, and works within the signage code of her historic quasi-residential neighborhood.
The top part of the sign was economically constructed of two panels of 1" acrylic sandwiching translucent red vinyl. The firm's logo is face mounted on solid core-ten steel. In morning and afternoon light, the top of the sign glows in soft red.
The firm's furniture line is represented on the bottom half of the sign in a secondary vocabulary of dimensional painted elements.
