For incoming UT students (and their parents), we produced this guide to on-campus housing. It’s one part packing list, one part residence hall handbook, one part guide to surviving freshman year.
The brochure cover was a pop-art montage of two client-supplied photos: the iconic UT Tower and a snapshot of two residence hall denizens peeking out from behind their door.
The design, typography, and color palette were chosen to appeal to incoming students. A fold-out front cover map helps in-bound freshmen find their way to residence hall check-in.
The book uses snapshots from the client in combination with custom illustrations and symbols in order to adhere to a modest production budget.
The second half of the publication includes an alphabetical list of rules and policies for on-campus residents.
To supplement the required text, we developed additional content to help freshman get through their first year away from home. Here, budget-minded fun and a lesson on doing laundry.
We polled former UT students and current RAs to create content for items including the "Best Study Spots on Campus."
The final spread includes information about making the most of living in Austin, one of America's best college settings.
