3800 Lamar

Crafting a sleek signage program to compliment a refined architectural pallete

For developer Highland Resources’ 3800 Lamar mixed-use project in central Austin, we created an interior and exterior signage program that reflects the building’s sophisticated architecture and high-profile location.

Signage and Wayfinding

We worked with architect STG Design to create a comprehensive interior and exterior signage and wayfinding program for the project. This includes a twelve-foot-tall identification sign that cuffs the building's signature architectural feature, parking garage wayfinding and orientation elements, building directories, and amenity identification.

We also created signage standards for retail tenants that enable each tenant to clearly express their own brand while preserving the integrity of the underlying architectural design.

“Asterisk Group was a key member of the creative team for 3800 Lamar. The artistry and polish they introduced via thoughtful design and detailing of our building signage brings great value to the tenant and visitor experience.”

David Bodenman, Vice President, Highland Resources, Inc.

The project won a 2016 Best Office Development award from the Austin Business Journal. The main project identification sign also won a statewide award from a signage-industry professional organization.
