Conveying the energy of a dynamic east Austin development

For this high-profile mixed-use development on the edge of downtown Austin, we worked with long-time client Endeavor Real Estate Group to create a graphic identity, project messaging, marketing materials, and temporary and permanent site signage that reflect the energy and vibrancy of the project and its east Austin neighborhood.

An exuberant new identity

After solidifying the name for the overall development — adjacent to the existing Plaza Saltillo public space and the Plaza Saltillo Station light rail stop — we created a graphic identity and visual language for the project that acknowledges the cultural heritage of the neighborhood and reflects its dynamic, eclectic, and colorful surroundings.

“Asterisk Group captured the energy of the neighborhood and the spirit of our vision via thoughtful messaging and graphics. Their involvement over the life of the development phase — in everything from leasing materials to temporary and permanent signage and graphics — will ensure the project speaks to the community with a dynamic and authentic voice.”

Messaging and materials that sell the excitement

We developed messaging and a family of marketing materials for the Endeavor leasing team to use to promote Saltillo to potential retail and office tenants. These materials emphasize the benefits of the district's mixed of uses, its transit access, and its connection to the neighborhood.

Environmental graphics and signage

To help build excitement for the project, we applied the new visual vocabulary to more than four blocks of construction fencing. We also created a comprehensive program of permanent wayfinding, identification, and interpretive signage to be implemented as the project enters the final phases of construction.
